Based on the concept of the Döner Kebab from Spain, Spitz is an upscale quick-service restaurant that combines the food quality, ambience and customer service typically found in upscale dining with the price and speed most often associated with fast food. Nearly everything, from the kebab to the sauces, is made daily in-house.
“We partnered with KROST in 2010 to do our year end taxes, after using another firm for the previous 3 years. Greg Kniss, managing partner, helped identify a number of restaurant-specific areas that helped significantly reduce our tax liability, including switching our corporate entity, taking advantage of employee tax credits, and focusing on real and efficient tax planning. Always accessible, professional and knowledgeable, Greg has been great to work with. We also utilized the expert skills of Jean Hagan, in-house restaurant consultant, who helped us set and achieve important financial and operational goals. She is a pleasure to work with and has been a huge asset to our growth and success.
In late 2012 we switched to the paperless bookkeeping system developed by KROST and their partners. Through it all our invoices and sales data are stored online and are accessible anywhere with an internet connection. We are able to analyze important metrics in real time for each of our three locations, as well as coordinate our scheduling and operational requirements. In short, it’s completely revolutionized the way we run our business and will allow us to continue to build and manage many more restaurant locations.
All in all we have thoroughly enjoyed working with KROST and count them as an essential partner to our success.”
